Why Split a PDF?
Splitting a large PDF into smaller files or extracting specific pages is a common requirement for managing documents efficiently. This tool is perfect for:
- Extracting Chapters: Pull out a single chapter from a book or a specific section from a long report.
- Separating Invoices: If you have a single PDF with multiple invoices, you can split each one into its own file.
- Reducing File Size for Email: Extract only the necessary pages to send, reducing the attachment size.
- Submitting Applications: Often, application forms or reports only require specific pages. Use this tool to extract just what you need.
Understanding Page Ranges
Our tool uses a flexible format for selecting pages:
- Single Pages: Use commas to separate individual page numbers (e.g.,
1, 5, 9
). - Ranges: Use a hyphen to select a continuous range of pages (e.g.,
2-6
). - The "end" Keyword: Use the word "end" to refer to the last page of the document (e.g.,
10-end
). - Combinations: You can combine these formats (e.g.,
1, 3-5, 8-end
).
If you leave the input field blank, the tool will split every single page of the PDF into its own separate file.
